The Twix. Genius.
One thing that bothered me a few years ago was this: If a two-finger pack is called a Twix, surely a single-finger should be called a Twick.
I emailed Mars, who replied promptly stating that the correct term for a single-finger WAS a Twix bar, and the two-finger pack should actually be referred to as Twix Bars.
From then on, whenever I went into a shop to buy a Twix, I asked for a pack of Twix Bars. Most vendors replied that they don’t do multipacks, and a few asked me if I just wanted one Twix. Using the correct terminology caused so many problems that I soon went back to calling a Twix myself.
But the Twix is a thing of beauty. It used to be all I ate, all the time. It is THE perfect balance of chocolate, caramel and biscuit. Plus, you get TWO in a pack!
Although nowadays my diet varies quite a bit, what with having to eat one of each thing that a sweet shop sells, but I’ll always have a special place in my chocolatey heart for Twix Bars.
