I love Twix! I hate Peanut Butter!
Twix, for me, is the perfect chocolate bar. Just the right amount of biscuit, caramel and chocolate and just the right size. I love them.
It already got a 10 out of 10 on Eat The Treat, the UKs leading chocolate review site*, so I don’t understand why anyone would want to add peanut butter to one. It can only serve to detract from its already perfect review.
Anyway, I bit one. I wasn’t looking forward to tasting this, but I bit it anyway.
Then something strange happened.
It actually tasted great. :-/
I’m not sure this qualifies as a “Twix”, entirely because it has more new elements to it that original ones.
A “Twix” has chocolate, biscuit and caramel. This no longer has caramel, but peanut butter instead. It also no longer has biscuit, it has crumbled oreo pieces instead. In that 66% of the bar is no longer “Twix”, I don’t see how the bar can be called a Twix.
But my word is it tasty!
Absolutely lovely to eat and I will be buying this again just to eat for fun. (I can’t describe the pleasure that eating a bar of chocolate WITHOUT having to photograph it first now gives me.)
The oreo and peanut butter combine in a pastey way, and it is just like eating a bar of Nutella. Genuinely brilliant.
Another recommended bar from me. Pick one up if you see one. You and your tastebuds will thank me later.
